Overview

As the euphoria of victory in Europe fills the streets of Paris at the end of World War II, Stars and Stripes journalist Charles Wills is swept into celebration—and straight into the arms of mystery and romance. When a beautiful stranger kisses him amidst the jubilation and vanishes, Charles soon finds himself at the center of the charismatic Ellswirth household, invited by the alluring Marion. Here, amidst faded grandeur, bohemian charm, and a family still chasing the thrill of the Lost Generation, Charles meets Helen—the woman behind his stolen kiss. The film sets up a heady mix of restless love, family entanglements, and the intoxicating highs and lows of a city recovering from war.
