Overview

In Anatomy of a Psycho, familial bonds warp under the pressure of tragedy and rage. After his older brother Duke is sentenced to death for murder, Chet Marco’s grief festers into paranoia and psychosis. Unable to find solace from his sister, friends, or girlfriend, Chet lashes out at the world he believes is responsible for Duke’s fate. As his mental state deteriorates, Chet’s actions escalate from violence toward individuals connected to the trial—like the sons of the prosecuting attorney and judge—to attempted arson and framing. Set against a backdrop of low-budget, exploitation-fueled tension, the film explores the destructive power of revenge and alienation in the face of loss.
