I Eat Your Skin is a 1971 American horror film directed by Del Tenney about a playboy novelist who journeys to a Caribbean island, only to find himself entangled with voodoo rituals and a cancer researcher's zombie experiments.

Programmer's Pick

Between machete-swinging zombies and topless moonlit swims, Del Tenney’s B-movie delivers all the pulpy voodoo action a grindhouse fan could want. If your idea of research involves zombie attacks and science gone wrong, you might just fit right in on Voodoo Island.

Overview

Adventure novelist and playboy Tom Harris is sent from Miami Beach to the mysterious Voodoo Island in the Caribbean to gather material for his next book. Accompanied by his publisher and the publisher's wife, Tom quickly finds himself in over his head when their plane is forced to land on an isolated beach after running out of fuel. As he explores the island, Tom witnesses a strange encounter involving a zombie and a skinny-dipping local, and soon discovers that the island is steeped in voodoo rituals and superstition. With drums echoing through the jungle and the locals behaving suspiciously, Tom realizes he's not just gathering inspiration—he's caught in a living nightmare.
