Quick Answer

What is Dressage about?

Dressage is a 1986 French comedy, drama, and romance film directed by Pierre B. Reinhard about two women who wager with a Baron to corrupt innocent teenagers and ruin their families' reputations.

Programmer's Pick

Dressage is French erotica at its most audacious—think designer lingerie, forbidden lessons, and aristocratic vendettas. Where else can you find a revenge plot tangled up with bets, barons, and a curriculum in corruption? This one doesn’t blush and neither will you.

Overview

Set against the backdrop of a lavish 1930s party, Dressage introduces viewers to Nathalie and Eliane, two bold and unapologetically decadent young women. They strike a provocative bet with the wealthy Baron Plessis du Regard: whoever succeeds in corrupting a pair of innocent teenagers to destroy their families' good names will win the ultimate prize—marriage to the Baron. For Nathalie, the wager is also a path to personal vengeance against her estranged aristocrat father, which she pursues by becoming the private tutor to her half-sister Sophie. Meanwhile, Eliane sets her sights on the son of a prominent Colonel. Expect a heady blend of seduction, power games, and the darkly comic unraveling of social facades in this French sexploitation tale.
