Programmer's Pick

It’s not every day you get Christopher Lee, Boris Karloff, and Barbara Steele sharing the screen in a psychedelic English witchfest. Between the painted rituals, cultish pageantry, and a protagonist who can’t catch a peaceful night’s sleep, this is vintage British horror with a distinctly groovy flavor.

Overview

Robert Manning, an antiques dealer, arrives at the eerie Craxted Lodge in the ancestral town of Greymarsh to investigate his brother's mysterious disappearance. Greeted by a lively party and an enigmatic host, Manning is soon haunted by unnerving dreams of ritual sacrifice and a green-faced witch. As he continues his search, his suspicions are heightened by the strange atmosphere of the lodge, cryptic assurances from its owner, and nightmarish hallucinations. With the help of occult expert Professor Marsh, Manning is drawn deeper into a web of witchcraft and unearthly secrets that threaten to consume all who linger in the lodge's shadow.
