Luisa De Dominicus is a Milanese piano teacher who moves to Lucca to be with the man she loves: Ferdinando 'Bonci' Marinotti, a city councilman campaigning for mayor on a platform of moral values. She is of the belief that Fernando is single, living with his ailing mother. This, of course, is far from the case. The boys living in her apartment building mistakenly believe Luisa is a call-girl who uses piano teaching as a cover for her true profession, and word soon spreads among the building's dirty old men.

Overview

Luisa De Dominicus, a sophisticated piano teacher from Milan, relocates to Lucca hoping to start a new life with city councilman Ferdinando Marinotti, whom she believes is single and caring for his ailing mother. The reality is far less romantic, as Ferdinando’s personal life is more complicated than advertised. Meanwhile, Luisa’s arrival sparks a cascade of gossip in her new apartment building, where a group of mischievous boys quickly assume she is a call-girl hiding behind piano lessons. Their curiosity leads to a covert peep-hole operation, and soon the building’s older male residents are equally invested in Luisa’s supposed double life.
