Overview

Set in 1873 Utah, Four of the Apocalypse follows professional gambler Stubby Preston, who finds himself jailed upon arrival in Salt Flats, just as vigilantes target the local casino. The only survivors of the ensuing chaos are Stubby and three fellow inmates: Bunny, a pregnant prostitute; Bud, a gentle but disturbed Black man; and Clem, an alcoholic. Forced out of town by a pragmatic sheriff, the unlikely group is given a wagon and horses—at the price of Stubby's savings—and sent into the wilds together. Their uneasy alliance and survival instincts are soon tested as they navigate a hostile landscape, cross paths with settlers and outlaws, and confront the brutal realities of the untamed West.
