Overview

Anna, an aspiring saxophone player, is on the verge of a breakthrough in her music career. Her relationship with her troubled sister, Elizabeth, is strained by Elizabeth's drug use and constant requests for money. When Elizabeth believes she's finally caught a lucky break, she leaves Anna a mysterious message and heads to a nightclub called the Dark Bar. There, tragedy strikes. Soon, Anna receives a threatening message pressing her for information that she supposedly knows—but she is just as lost as anyone. With the help of a friend, Anna plunges into the nightclub's murky underworld, navigating jazz musicians, dubious acquaintances, and a tightening sense of danger as she tries to make sense of what happened to her sister.
