Overview

Marv Grant is a high schooler stuck with a neglectful, alcoholic father and a part-time job at the docks. When he starts dating Betty Alexander, she quickly takes advantage, convincing him to write her English term paper. After the teacher exposes the cheating, both Marv and Betty’s futures take a hit—Betty is failed and Marv loses his college scholarship recommendation. Betty dumps him, revealing she was only using him, and goes back to her ex-boyfriend.
