Ines Pellegrini, born in Milan and raised in Eritrea, emerged in the Italian film scene during the 1970s. Her breakthrough came when Pier Paolo Pasolini cast her as Zumurrud in Arabian Nights (1974), a role that highlighted her striking features and emotional depth. Pellegrini also appeared in Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom (1975), further solidifying her place in the realm of provocative cinema. With additional roles in Eyeball (1975) and Escape from Women's Prison (1978), she became a notable figure in the genre before stepping away from acting in the mid-1980s.
