Ho Tsung-Tao, also known as Bruce Li, began his career in the 1970s as a stuntman in Taiwan and Hong Kong, eventually starring in Bruce Lee Against Supermen (1975) as Kato, the Green Hornet's assistant. His rise to fame came after adopting the Bruce Li persona following Bruce Lee's death, leading to numerous Bruceploitation films that capitalized on Lee's legacy. After a brief but impactful career, Ho returned to Taiwan, where he became a physical education instructor and martial arts teacher, leaving behind a unique mark on the genre.

Scientist Dr Ting has invented a secret formula that will help the world's food crisis, but refuses an offer to sell it. When Dr Ting is later kidnapped by a sinister organization, Alice's boyfriend, the renowned crime fighter Kato is called in to rescue him. However after an attempt is made to kidnap Alice, Kato realises he cannot fight the organization alone and enlists the help of his two superhero friends collectively known as "The Green Hornet". "The Green Hornet" (a red spandex and cape wearing duo) is called in to assist in rescuing a kidnapped scientist.
