Born in Dublin in 1977, Jonathan Rhys Meyers emerged as a captivating presence in cult cinema with his roles in Killer Tongue (1996) and Titus (1999). In Killer Tongue, he navigates the bizarre world of a vengeful woman, while in Titus, he portrays the complex character of Chiron, adding depth to this Shakespearean adaptation. Rhys Meyers's ability to oscillate between dramatic intensity and eccentricity makes his contributions to these films significant in the exploration of genre boundaries.
Killer Tongue
Melinda Clarke stars as the latex-clad Candy, a beautiful bank robber hiding out at a desert gas station run by nuns while awaiting her boyfriend's release from prison. After being exposed to a falling piece of alien meteorite, Candy grows an extremely long homicidal tongue with a taste for human flesh, while her pet poodles--who have also been exposed--transform into flamboyant drag queens.
