Joe Namath, born in 1943, made a notable transition from football icon to actor, appearing in the cult classic C.C. and Company (1970). In this film, he plays a motorcycle gang member, showcasing a different side of his public persona. Known as 'Broadway Joe,' Namath's larger-than-life character in the film reflects the gritty, rebellious spirit of the 1970s grindhouse era. His involvement in C.C. and Company adds a unique layer to the film, merging sports celebrity with the underground cinema movement.
The Last Rebel
It's 1865 in Missouri, and the Civil War has just ended. Rebel soldiers Hollis and Matt flee from Union soldiers that want to imprison them. Hollis then frees a black man named Duncan from a lynching, and they become a trio. Later, when Hollis wins a lot of money at the pool table and Matt doesn't get any, the two soldiers become enemies. This leads to a showdown between Hollis and Duncan against Matt and the men he has brought in to get that money.
