Autopsy
During a rash of unusual suicides in Rome that scientists theorize are being caused by sunspots, a young female morgue doctor (Mimsy Farmer) is told by a priest that he thinks his sister was murdered, although he is being told she was a suicide. They team up to investigate the cause of his sister's death. Set against the backdrop of a stifling, sunspot-induced Roman heatwave, a young pathology student interning at a local morgue becomes overwhelmed by a sudden pandemic of bizarre campus suicides. When a woman she just crossed paths with ends up on her dissection table, she uncovers evidence pointing to a calculated murder rather than a self-inflicted death. Teaming up with a troubled priest, she plunges into a surreal web of sexual deviance and hallucinations, entirely unaware that a cold-blooded killer is watching her every incision.
