Hickey & Boggs
Two worn-out Los Angeles private detectives accept a routine missing-person case, only to become trapped between stolen money, armed criminals, political radicals, and killers eliminating everyone connected to the woman. Our two protagonists do not live well. Hickey (Bill Cosby) evidently owns two suits, his marriage is a train wreck and ,for reasons never made clear, he is no longer with the L.A.P.D.. Boggs (Robert Culp) is only seen in the same blue suit and he drinks too much. There is also a hint that Boggs might be gay and pays street hustlers for their services. Two veteran private eyes trigger a criminal reign of terror with their search for a missing girl. Culp and Bill Cosby, formerly Culp's co-star on I Spy, play weary, hard-luck private eyes Al Hickey and Frank Boggs hired to find a missing woman. Their inquiries bring death to almost everyone around them, culminating in a violent conclusion.
