Štefan Kvietik, born in 1935, studied acting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and began his career at the Army Theater in Martin. Known for his robust, psychologically-realistic characters, he appears in the 1998 film Tábor padlych zien, where his nuanced performance adds depth to the narrative. Beyond acting, Kvietik also contributed to the arts as a teacher and served in parliament, reflecting his diverse engagement with culture and education.

The story takes place in a reform-camp for the prostitutes of Bratislava. Soon after the political changes in February 1948 a deputy of the Ministry of the Interior decides to clean the city from its subverting elements. After a police raid all the prostitutes are transported to work-camps where they are supposed to be converted to loyal citizens.
