Overview

In The Naked Witch, a university student sets out to research the old-world customs of German-speaking villages in central Texas for his thesis. Arriving in the rural community of Luckenbach after his car sputters out of gas, he encounters locals wary of discussing the tale of the so-called 'Luckenbach Witch.' Undeterred, the student borrows a book about the infamous witch from Kirska, the innkeeper’s granddaughter, and learns of her burial site near the hotel. Fascinated and perhaps a bit careless, he unearths her grave, disrupting the uneasy peace of the town. This atmospheric horror thriller draws on folk legends, small-town superstition, and the perils of academic curiosity, all set against a backdrop of Texas-German culture.
