Programmer's Pick

Only in the '70s could you get a post-apocalyptic duel featuring laser-dirtbikes, leather-clad gladiators, and a capital punishment system that’s part motocross, part mayhem. Deathsport is pure, undiluted grindhouse—gritty, trashy, and laser-focused on delivering action.

Overview

Set a thousand years after the Neutron Wars, Deathsport drops viewers into a savage future where city-states fight for resources and survival. The city-state of Helix, led by the ruthless Lord Zirpola, unveils a deadly new form of entertainment: criminals must battle each other for survival in the Deathsport arena, mounted on lethal 'Death Machines'—laser-armed dirt bikes. Only the elite Range Guides, independent warriors who roam the dangerous wastelands, can hope to withstand these brutal games. When legendary Range Guide Kaz Oshay is captured, he is thrust into this violent spectacle, with freedom as the ultimate prize. This is an action-driven, low-budget sci-fi tale riddled with futuristic weaponry, mutant threats, and arena combat.
