Overview

Giuliano and Nora, siblings from Milan, spend their summer at a family villa on the volcanic island of Vulcano, joined by Giuliano's fiancée Barbara and their shy friend Daniele. The group’s routine is disrupted when Nora, frustrated by Daniele’s lack of initiative, leaves to sail with other friends. Meanwhile, the arrival of free-spirited Norwegian nudists Trella and Bjorn inspires the group to embrace a more uninhibited lifestyle. Tensions and affections shift further with the appearance of Adriana, a middle-aged family friend facing her own romantic crisis. Set against the sun-soaked, sea-washed backdrop of the Aeolian islands, the film explores youth, desire, and the search for personal freedom.
