Programmer's Pick

If your idea of a nature hike includes an axe-wielding mutant and a side of 1980s slasher grit, The Prey checks every box. This one’s for fans who prefer their camping tales with a little less ghost story and a lot more decapitation.

Overview

The Prey opens with a devastating wildfire in the remote North Point section of Colorado's Keen Wild national forest, leaving behind tragedy and mystery. More than three decades later, the same area becomes the site of unexplained terror: an older couple is brutally attacked while camping, hinting at a lurking menace in the shadows. Weeks later, three teenage couples venture into these ominous woods for what should be a carefree camping excursion. Unbeknownst to them, a mysterious figure is stalking their every move, turning their summer getaway into a fight for survival. With a chilling forest setting and a palpable sense of dread, The Prey delivers a classic backwoods slasher experience.
