Overview

After film star Paul Henderson vanishes from his rented country house, Inspector Holloway of Scotland Yard is called in to investigate. At the local police station, Holloway learns that the house has a troubling history, prompting a recounting of its previous tenants and the sinister events that befell them. The first story follows Charles Hillyer, a horror writer whose latest creation, a murderous character named Dominic, seems to step off the page and into his life, blurring the line between fiction and reality. Combining elements of horror, mystery, and the supernatural, the film weaves together eerie tales set within the same foreboding house, each with its own unsettling twist.
