THE GOLDEN BOX

Hired gunmen kill a nightclub piano player and steal a music book which contains coded information on the location of a hidden treasure box. Two nightclub hostesses, both ex-mistresses of the murdered pianist, follow the hired killers from one city to another across the country, hoping to obtain the treasure for themselves. During a nude gin rummy game in New York City, they decide to seduce the bellboy in order to steal the music book; in Chicago they crack the code; and the drama ends abruptly in the canals of Venice, California.
