Overview

Set in Los Angeles, Jack's Back introduces John Wesford, a young doctor who suddenly finds himself the main suspect in a string of grisly murders mimicking Jack the Ripper's infamous crimes. John and fellow physician Jack Pendler are present at the scene of the most recent killing, working under the stern supervision of Dr. Sidney Tannerson. When things quickly spiral out of control, John becomes the scapegoat, with his supposed guilt sealed by a staged suicide. The case takes an unexpected turn with the arrival of John's identical twin, Rick, whose involvement casts doubt on the police's theory and throws new light on the investigation. This is a cerebral crime thriller peppered with medical intrigue, twin telepathy, and a moody 1980s Los Angeles noir backdrop.
