Programmer's Pick

Blue-collar horror meets sci-fi weirdness in this tale of a Caterpillar D9 gone rogue under alien influence. If the phrase 'possessed construction equipment' doesn’t grab you, the straight-faced performances and island paranoia might. It’s man versus machine, with a meteorite for a referee.

Overview

On an uninhabited island off the coast of Africa, six construction workers arrive to build an airstrip for an oil drilling company. The site holds a buried meteorite, which the crew unknowingly disturbs as they begin their work. When foreman Kelly and bulldozer driver Mack attempt to move the mysterious object with their Caterpillar D9, a strange sound emanates from the rock and a blue light transfers to the massive machine. Soon after, the bulldozer seems to operate with a will of its own, and the men are left to contend with an inexplicable and escalating menace. 'Killdozer' blends elements of horror, science fiction, and thriller, using its isolated setting and all-male cast to heighten the tension as man confronts possessed machinery.
