Programmer's Pick

Mutant salmon, mercury-laced boots, and a bear that makes Godzilla look house-trained—Prophecy is Frankenheimer’s eco-horror fever dream. If you want your creature features with pulp, protest, and a side of wet t-shirt, Maine’s never looked so menacing.

Overview

Set in the wilds of Maine, Prophecy follows Dr. Robert Verne and his wife Maggie as they travel to assess an escalating dispute between a logging company and a Native American tribe. The couple soon finds themselves caught in a web of local suspicion and environmental unease, as missing lumberjacks and rescue workers spark accusations and fear. Tensions mount between the logging operation and the tribe, who warn of a vengeful forest spirit. As Verne investigates, disturbing evidence of pollution, mutated wildlife, and ecological imbalance surfaces, hinting at something far more dangerous lurking in the woods. Prophecy blends environmental horror and social commentary into a chilling nature-gone-wrong scenario.
