Programmer's Pick

Only in the fever-dream logic of 1970 could a biker gang be the CIA’s weapon of choice in Southeast Asia. Come for the machine-gun Yamahas, stay for the glorious mix of outlaw bravado and jungle warfare. Bikersploitation never rode harder—or weirder.

Overview

The Losers drops a ragtag gang of Hells Angels-style bikers, known as "The Devil's Advocates," into the thick of the Vietnam War. Their mission: ride deep into the Cambodian jungle on souped-up Yamaha bikes to rescue a captured American diplomat and CIA agent, Chet Davis. Under the leadership of Vietnam vet Link Thomas and the command of Army Captain Jackson, the gang—each with a checkered past—transforms their motorcycles into armored, weaponized beasts, welding on submachine guns and heavy firepower. Equal parts barroom brawl and battlefield mayhem, this bikersploitation adventure amps up the chaos as the crew trades leather for camo in a world where the rules are as loose as their morals.
