Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings is a 1994 American fantasy horror thriller directed by Jeff Burr about a small town haunted by the vengeful resurrection of a wronged outcast.

Programmer's Pick

Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings proves that small-town skeletons are best left in the closet—or in this case, the mineshaft. With witchcraft, teenage mischief, and a sympathetic monster, it’s a sequel that leans into rural horror with gusto.

Overview

In the rural shadows of Ferren Woods, 1958 brings a brutal act when a group of local thugs attack Tommy, a deformed orphan cared for by the blind witch Ms. Osie. Decades later, Sheriff Sean Braddock—once Tommy’s childhood friend—returns to his hometown with his family, taking up the badge just as old wounds threaten to reopen. As his daughter Jenny struggles to adjust and falls in with a rebellious crowd, the legacy of past violence lingers. The film sets up a tense atmosphere of supernatural retribution, generational guilt, and the uneasy intersection of folklore and small-town secrets, all anchored by the legend of Pumpkinhead. Expect a moody blend of teen horror and rural gothic menace.
