Programmer's Pick

Sword & sorcery with a wink, Deathstalker II isn’t afraid to poke fun at its own genre, tossing in amazons, clones, and a roguish hero who seems as interested in wisecracks as in swordplay. If you like your fantasy with a side of self-awareness and mud wrestling, saddle up.

Overview

Deathstalker II is a tongue-in-cheek take on the sword and sorcery genre, following the escapades of Deathstalker as he stumbles into the troubles of Reena, a resourceful seer. After helping her out of some initial mishaps, Deathstalker learns that Reena is actually Princess Evie, the rightful heir to a kingdom now under the sway of a villainous sorcerer. The twist? The sorcerer has abducted Evie and replaced her with a clone to solidify his rule. To reclaim the throne, Deathstalker and the princess must survive a gauntlet of eccentric challenges, including the sorcerer's henchmen and a tribe of formidable Amazon women, all while maintaining a playful and irreverent tone.
