Four sexy young foreign girls come to England as au pairs and quickly become quite intimate with their employers, host families, and just about everyone else they encounter.

Quick Answer

What is Au Pair Girls about?

Au Pair Girls is a 1972 British comedy-romance film directed by Val Guest about four young women who arrive in England as au pairs and quickly become entangled in a series of steamy misadventures.

Programmer's Pick

Softcore Brit sexploitation with a wink, Au Pair Girls trades in culture clash, risqué mishaps, and a rotating cast of hapless employers. Val Guest wrangles plenty of Euro-glam, suggestive humor, and more than a few scenes of underdressed chaos.

Overview

When four attractive young women arrive at Heathrow, they're promptly dispatched by a London agency to work as au pairs in various English households. Each is thrown into different domestic situations that test their wits and their boundaries. Anita finds herself the object of unwanted airport attention before landing in a wealthy sheik’s orbit, while Randi catches the eye of her host’s son. Meanwhile, Nan adapts to playing companion to an overly sheltered charge, and Christina is swept into the world of pop stars and scheming host families. From flooded bathrooms to casino escapades and romantic entanglements, the film sets up a romp through sexual misadventure and cultural mishaps in early-'70s Britain.
