Angelo Infanti, born in 1939 in Zagarolo, Italy, carved a niche in the world of cult cinema with his compelling performances. He is particularly recognized for his role in Black Emanuelle (1975), where he navigates the provocative themes of erotic thrillers. Infanti also appears in The Amazons (1973) and Black Emanuelle 2 (1976), showcasing his versatility in the genre. His contributions to these films highlight the bold storytelling and aesthetic that define the exploitation cinema of the 1970s.
Black Emanuelle 2
International cover girl, Emmanuelle Richmond Morgan, is in a clinic near Manhattan suffering memory loss. Her physician, Paul, a Freudian, pays her special attention, making his wife jealous. He interviews Emmanuelle daily, asking her to record memories on tape. He interviews a photographer with whom she worked, her father, and her husband, from whom she’s been separated two years. Her memories of each of them differ sharply from their own. In flashbacks we see both versions. Gradually her memories clear as she parties with another patient, Paul’s niece Sharon. Besides Emmanuelle’s memory block, is everyone else telling the truth? Can Paul help her remember and heal? Sharon Leslie plays a super model with amnesia. She’s staying in a psychiatric hospital where her doctor is trying to uncover the repressed psychological trauma that put her in this state. It’s partly a mystery, with the doctor as detective, in which they try to figure out who/what did this to her. Of course, it’s also an exploitation movie with a lot of nudity and softcore sex.
