Born in Detroit in 1943, Lin Shaye has carved out a unique niche in cult cinema, often recognized as a scream queen. Her performances in Critters (1986) and its sequels, including Critters 2: The Main Course (1988) and Critters 3 (1991), showcase her ability to blend humor with horror, a hallmark of her extensive filmography. Shaye's versatility extends beyond the genre, as seen in 2001 Maniacs (2005), where she delivers a memorable performance that adds to the film's darkly comedic tone. With over fifty years in the industry, her contributions to cult and exploitation films remain significant.
