The Freeway Maniac
After a crazed killer escapes from a mental institution, he encounters Linda Kenney, a young actress en route to an audition, and is defeated. The killer is sent back to the institution and Linda gets the job off her new-found notoriety. However, when the mental patient escapes once again, he returns to enact vengeance, murdering people on the film set while saving his worst for Linda.
