Overview

Set in the 1880s Wild West, The Great Bank Robbery is a comedic caper that follows Rev. Pious Blue, a preacher whose holy persona is just a cover for high-stakes thievery. Alongside his partner Lyda Kebanov and a band of phony church leaders, he plots to tunnel into the vault of Friendly’s impenetrable bank during the town’s raucous Fourth of July celebration. But Friendly is anything but, with rival gangs—including Mexican bandits and the gunfighter Slade—concocting their own schemes to nab the loot. Meanwhile, Texas Ranger Ben Quick is hot on the trail, seeking evidence against the corrupt banker and mayor. With disguises, distractions, and plenty of double-crossing, this western delivers a madcap take on the classic bank heist.
