Overview

Five Michigan State students—Ash, his girlfriend Linda, his sister Cheryl, Scott, and Scott's girlfriend Shelly—head to an isolated cabin in rural Tennessee for a weekend getaway. From the moment they arrive, peculiar occurrences unsettle the group: the porch swing moves by itself, a clock inexplicably stops, and Cheryl is compelled by a mysterious voice and an uncontrollable hand to sketch a grotesque book. The group's unease intensifies when a cellar trapdoor bursts open, prompting Ash and Scott to investigate. Their discovery of a strange book and a tape recorder in the cellar hints at something sinister awakening in the woods, setting the stage for a nightmarish ordeal.
