Overview

Dr. Warren Chapin, a pathologist fascinated by the nature of fear, uncovers a bizarre and sinister secret: a parasite called the 'tingler' lives on the human spine, feeding and growing stronger when its host experiences terror. The only way to weaken this creature is by screaming, which releases its grip. Dr. Chapin’s acquaintance, a silent film theater owner, has a deaf-mute wife unable to scream, raising chilling possibilities about what happens when fear becomes inescapable. Set in a world of scientific obsession, dysfunctional relationships, and creeping dread, the film delivers a unique blend of mad science and macabre suspense, punctuated by moments designed to make you squirm in your seat.
