Overview

Set in 18th-century Austria, The Black Castle follows Sir Ronald Burton, a British gentleman determined to uncover the fate of two missing friends who vanished while visiting the imposing estate of Count von Bruno. Burton quickly discovers that Count von Bruno, a man with scores to settle from his colonial past, is a perilous adversary—especially as his missing friends are among the Count's victims. As Burton navigates the castle’s shadows and secret passages, he finds an ally in the Count’s oppressed wife and faces both human and animal threats.
