Quick Answer

What is Jeepers Creepers about?

Jeepers Creepers is a 2001 American-German horror, mystery, and thriller film directed by Victor Salva about siblings who encounter a flesh-eating creature while driving home through the rural countryside.

Programmer's Pick

Rural America rarely looked more menacing—or more monster-infested. Jeepers Creepers delivers a stylish blend of classic road horror and grotesque creature feature, anchored by the uneasy chemistry of its brother-sister leads and a villain who really knows how to make an entrance (and an exit).

Overview

Trish and her brother Darry are on a routine drive home from college for spring break, cutting through the desolate roads of the Florida countryside. Their trip takes a sinister turn when they're aggressively tailgated by a mysterious old truck. The siblings soon witness its driver, cloaked in a trenchcoat, disposing of what look like bodies at a ramshackle church. When they're spotted, a relentless pursuit begins, and Darry's curiosity drags them deeper into danger. As they investigate the abandoned site, strange noises and urban legends hint at something monstrous lurking in the rural shadows. This is no ordinary road trip horror—it's a tense, atmospheric ride that sets up a uniquely predatory evil.
