Overview

Set against the backdrop of 1960s Manhattan, 'Murder à la Mod' opens with the voyeuristic lens of a camera as models are asked to undress for a screen test, only for one to be apparently stabbed by an unseen assailant. Karen, a naive model, confides in her friend Tracy about her relationship with Christopher, a photographer caught in personal and financial turmoil. As Tracy retrieves her valuables from a bank, Karen follows Christopher to his studio, only to find him shooting a low-budget sexploitation film involving a prankster named Otto. The film weaves together intrigue, deception, and the underbelly of the porn industry, establishing a playful yet uneasy tone.
