Programmer's Pick

If your ideal workplace is less 'employer of the month' and more 'suspiciously missing coworkers,' Night of Death! delivers the French countryside horror you never knew you needed. Between blood, keys, and piano keys, this is a retirement home where you definitely don’t want to spend your golden years.

Overview

At Deadlock House, an isolated retirement home in the French countryside, something is unsettling from the start: employees are vanishing, the director obsessively plays the same eerie tune on the piano, and the residents insist on vegetarian meals amid strange behaviors. Martine, a new nurse and the film’s central figure, joins the staff just as rumors swirl about the fate of her missing predecessors. As Martine settles in, she becomes increasingly aware that the home’s elderly boarders are hiding a disturbing secret. With a mix of mounting dread, guarded hospitality, and bizarre rituals, Night of Death! crafts a slow-burning, atmospheric horror that lures viewers into its claustrophobic mystery.
