Overview

Devil's Express drops martial arts master Luke Curtis and his friend Rodan into the dangerous underworld of 1970s New York, infusing street-level blaxploitation with supernatural mayhem. After a kung fu training trip to China—where Rodan pilfers a forbidden amulet—the pair unwittingly bring an ancient evil back to their city. The unleashed demonic spirit possesses a host and begins a spree of gruesome killings in the New York subway tunnels, while both gang wars and a relentless cop ratchet up the urban chaos. Surrounded by rampant violence and mounting corpses, Luke must use his martial arts skills to try and halt the deadly chain of events set off by Rodan’s mistake, all while the city teeters on the edge.
