Quick Answer

What is Roller Blade Warriors: Taken by Force about?

Roller Blade Warriors: Taken by Force is a 1989 American fantasy and science fiction film directed by Donald G. Jackson about a warrior nun who must rescue a seer from mutants that plan to sacrifice her to a mysterious monster.

Programmer's Pick

It's the apocalypse on wheels—literally—where nun habits and roller skates are battle attire, and mutant gangs have a monster to feed. With sword fights in abandoned factories and a 'no tools of love' policy, this sequel dials back the weird but still keeps the skates rolling.

Overview

Set in a post-apocalyptic future where rollerblades are as essential as swords, Roller Blade Warriors: Taken by Force follows Sister Karin Cross, a formidable warrior nun, as she escorts an Oracle to safety. The Oracle possesses minor mental abilities, including sensing danger and inspiring others, making her a valuable target. When the Oracle is captured by a gang of mutants who require women for a disturbing ritual involving a mysterious monster, Karin must track her down and face off against the wasteland's most unsavory denizens. Alongside other Roller Nuns dispatched by their leader, Mother Speed, Karin rolls into action, blending swordfights, oddball punk antagonists, and a hefty dose of sexploitation into its wild, dystopian premise.
