Overview

For two years, Tom and Amy Bates have been locked in a daily struggle after a hit-and-run left their daughter Pattie severely disabled. Pattie cannot walk or communicate beyond unintelligible sounds, and while Amy clings to hope that her daughter can still understand them, Tom has given up.
