Programmer's Pick

James Woods oozes menace as a killer with an agenda, while Brian Dennehy is the gruff, principled cop-turned-author who can't seem to avoid trouble—or inspiration. The Nixon-mask heist and a parade of double-crosses make for a hardboiled L.A. ride with literary ambitions and plenty of gunfire.
