Overview

Set against the backdrop of ancient Mytilene, The Warrior Empress follows the young warrior Phaon as he challenges the cruel rule of Melanchrus. Gravely wounded in battle, Phaon seeks sanctuary in the Temple of Aphrodite, where his fate becomes entwined with Sappho, a beautiful and influential figure among the temple's priestesses. Betrayed and forced to flee, Phaon's journey takes an otherworldly turn when a storm lands him in the undersea realm of Poseidon, only to be rescued by Sappho's intervention.
