Programmer's Pick

Oswaldo de Oliveira cranks the jungle heat up past boiling with this sleazy women-in-prison survival saga. Expect Amazonian danger, Dionysian debauchery, and a cast that’s never afraid to get their hands—or anything else—dirty. Not for the faint of heart or the clothed of mind.

Overview

Amazon Jail thrusts viewers into the steamy depths of the Brazilian Amazon, where women are lured by promises of work, only to be imprisoned by Edgar, a ruthless sex trafficker, and his equally predatory partner. The captives are kept corralled in the jungle, paraded at decadent parties for potential buyers. As Edgar's nephew develops feelings for one of the imprisoned women, a daring escape is set in motion. The women must use every means at their disposal to survive both the relentless jungle and the dangerous men pursuing them. This is a raw, exploitative tale of survival, power dynamics, and the will to break free, set against the backdrop of a lawless wilderness.
