Overview

Jeff Morgan, not quite ready to settle down, puts romance on hold in favor of globe-trotting adventure. His soon-to-be father-in-law, the wealthy William T. Calderon, supports his wanderlust by sending Jeff and his hapless tutor, Professor Thomas Artelet, on a voyage with a promise of excitement. This trip takes a treacherous turn when their vessel falls prey to sea monsters and sinks, leaving the pair stranded on a seemingly uninhabited island. As Jeff and the professor navigate the perils of their new home, they rescue a man named Carefinatu from cannibals and join forces with Dominique Blanchard, a fellow castaway. Together, they face a hazardous landscape crawling with giant creatures, hostile natives, and pirates on the hunt for hidden treasure—all while adventure, comedy, and horror unfold in equal measure.
