Overview

Cowboy Gannon arrives in the Old West just in time to save Jess Washburn from a deadly encounter with a locomotive. The two quickly join forces, landing jobs on a ranch run by the recently widowed Beth, whose ambitious plan to move a massive cattle herd in one season stirs up conflict. As Beth maneuvers to protect her interests—seducing Jess into taking her side—Gannon finds himself sympathizing with neighboring ranchers worried about losing their grazing land. Tensions escalate, drawing clear dividing lines between loyalty and ambition, as the two cowhands discover that the open range is anything but tranquil. The film weaves together mentorship, betrayal, and a backdrop of violence, all set against the unforgiving landscape of the western frontier.
