Overview

A hard-edged trip into the criminal underbelly, The Hooked Generation follows Daisy and his gang as they orchestrate a narcotics pickup from a Cuban boat, only to betray their suppliers in brutal fashion. When a Coast Guard cutter appears, the gang's quick-thinking cover-up is witnessed by an unsuspecting young couple, Mark and Kelly, out for a day on the water. Their decision to alert the authorities sets off a chain of violence and escalating desperation. With law enforcement closing in and their criminal enterprise unraveling, the gang spirals deeper into chaos. William Grefé’s film paints a sun-baked portrait of late-sixties crime and counterculture in freefall.
