Quick Answer
What is The Hooked Generation about?

The Hooked Generation is a 1968 American action, adventure, crime, and drama film directed by William Grefé about a ruthless drug dealer and his gang whose violent narcotics scheme unravels after being spotted by a young couple at sea.

Synopsis

Daisy, a ruthless drug dealer, and his gang, including Acid and Dum Dum, meet a boat carrying narcotics off the coast of Cuba. Instead of paying the Cubans for the shipment, the gang get them high on marijuana, kill them, take their narcotics and burn their boat. Spotting a Coast Guard cutter, Daisy has the narcotics thrown overboard in waterproof containers, but Mark and Kelly, a young couple out on a pleasure cruise, see this activity and inform the Coast Guard.

Desperate, Daisy and his men kill the Coast Guardsmen and take Mark and Kelly hostage. The gang recover the narcotics but later discover that because they have been implicated in the murders they cannot sell the drugs. They move their hideout to a Seminole Indian camp where Acid rapes and then accidentally drowns an Indian girl. Sent into town for supplies, Acid stops at an addicts' hangout and is killed in a shootout with police. The FBI, tipped off by a drug dealer, pursue the gang into the Everglades. In a showdown, Dum Dum is bitten by a water moccasin and shot by FBI agents. Daisy is about to escape when Mark plunges a hypodermic needle into his neck, killing him.
