Overview

Douglas Breen, a lonely record store clerk in New York City, sends increasingly disturbed letters to his idol, stage and film star Sally Ross. While Sally prepares for a major stage musical and reconnects with her ex-husband, her secretary Belle intercepts Douglas's fan mail and tries to shield Sally from his obsessive words. Feeling ignored and spurned, Douglas’s fixation intensifies, turning his admiration into something far more menacing. Set against the backdrop of Broadway, The Fan explores the high price of fame and the chilling consequences of obsession, all while Sally grapples with a relentless admirer whose devotion knows no boundaries.
