Overview

Set in 1883 Staten Island, Blood introduces Dr. Lawrence Orlovsky, a werewolf and the only son of the original Lawrence Talbot, and his wife Regina, a vampire descended from Count Dracula. The couple, along with their unusual household staff—including a strong-willed servant, a legless man, and a deformed caretaker—settle into a creaking old house after returning from Europe. Lawrence is consumed by his efforts to cure both his own lycanthropy and Regina's vampiric thirst, resorting to nurturing a basement garden of man-eating plants fed by human blood. Meanwhile, the family faces threats from a greedy lawyer intent on stealing their inheritance, and the arrival of a new family member complicates their efforts to keep their monstrous identities hidden.
